I often hope the same thing. It would be oh so chic.
I was an addict which probably partly fueled what I’m dying of now. I’ve known other addicts, friends, who are dead or are dying horrible, not so chic deaths. My nephew ended up under a bridge in Phoenix and hasn’t come out of his room in years. A young son of friends has been in and out of rehab and has AIDS, likely from sharing needles. Meth, heroin, cocaine, pills… on and on. If those are sincere thoughts, and I hope they’re not, come talk to me. I can tell you stories that will give you nightmares for years and many of them started in the innocent ’70s, hippies, flower children, just having a good time and smoking a little weed, dropping a little acid.. The only happy ending is to get away from it which many can’t, and don’t. And if you do, it’s often like a snake laying in the grass alongside your path, waiting to strike again. If you’re away from it, stay away from it. Trust me on that one.
The lengths that people go to just to have “fun” is amazing to me. I hope that what whatitsliketodie said affects someone, even just one person.
call out my drug addiction...know its not a porblem its my LIFE!
